230 Final stage in assembling low-tension electrical harness for fitment to Rolls-Royce Conways, at the Penfold St, London NWI, factory of Palmer Aero Products Ltd, a subsidiary of BTR Industries INDUSTRY International... of 0-6,0001b/sq in gauge and will allow a flow of 2£ cu ft/min of air to pass at 2.0001b/sq in inlet with a maximum pressure- drop of 201b/sq in. This performance is retained over a temperature range of ^26 to +80C. It is stated that even at a temperature of — 45 C leakage has been limited to the extremely low figure of 0.3 cu in/min of free air under an inlet pressure of 6,0001b/sq in. The solenoid, which operates at a nominal voltage of 28, has a nominal resistance of 100 ohms and continuous rating; connection is by a UKAN socket or flying leads. The MAD 206 has been tested over the vibration and environmental conditions of AVP.24. It should prove particularly suit able for pressurization of waveguide and other control systems where low leakage- rates or small flows are involved.
