f LIGHT International, 12 July 1962 tL-h mWESTLAND More than iooo sea rescues have been made by Westland Helicopters around the shores of Great Britain. This includes over 250 rescues by one unit of the Royal Air Force operating Westland Whirlwinds. Wcstland Helicopters which are in present day operation will carry as many as 16 rescued men on a short journey or, opera ting over a radius of action of 120 nautical miles.can pick up and return 6 men.
