42 FLIGHT International, 30 August 1962 VISUAL FLIGHT TRAINING FOR ALL SIMULATORS TERRAVISION — A simulator for visual flight training in the critical bad weather break-out phase. TERRAVISION simulates both day and night conditions as in the actual views on the right which show, reading from top to bottom:— London's 28L runway at 400 ft. and 4| n.m. visibility; at 150 ft. and 700 yd. visibility; and over the threshold at 100 ft. and 44 n.m. visibility at dusk. TERRAVISION enables the pilot to practise visual approaches, landing and take-off procedures, missed approaches and climbing out under full or asymmetric power conditions.
