FLIGHT International, 30 August 1962 61 JUST PUBLISHED ^ This book opens with an extensive account of the work undertaken by Reconnaissance, Artillery Spotting and Bomber types, and continues with a full description of seventy-two aircraft of the various nations engaged in the 1914-1918 War. In each case there is a half-page group of five photographs and a half-page of text facing a 1/72 scale three-view line drawing. Then follow well illustrated chapters on the specialised equipment used on many of these aircraft such as armament, bombs, cameras, etc. There is also an illustrated chapter on camouflage and markings. Next there follows a section of photo graphs with informative captions depict ing many experimental Reconnaissance and Bomber aircraft. Finally there is an eighteen-page Data Table providing overall dimensions, types of engine(s), weight, performance figures, armament and equipment of every aircraft described in the book—a total of 273. Altogether there are over 600 photographs (many of them rare and hitherto unpublished) which will be of the greatest interest to readers of this magazine. 50'- POST FREE THIS BOOK CONTAINS 232 PAGES, ALL FIRST GRADE GLOSSY PAPER.
