HENSIVE CRYOGENICS SERVICE VVIATION SERVICES NITROGEN COOLING AND SUPPRESSION BOAS can supply liquid nitrogen cool ing, purging and explosion suppression systems for any type of civil or military aircraft. Liquid nitrogen is mixed with air bled from the engine compressor and pressurises the fuel tanks, making the gaseous mixture chemically inert. A similar system has been developed for suit cooling when engine air is not available. BRITISH OXYGEN AVIATION SERVICES ... ON THE GROUND ... BOAS liquid oxygen converters are one quarter the weight of gas cylinders—a very important advan tage in any aircraft. Extra safety is also assured because the liquid oxygen is stored under low pressure. Air crew cooling problems can be solved by the use of liquid oxygen separately or in conjunction with their breathing systems. READY TO HELP YOU Whatever your cryogenic problems, in any type of civil or military aircraft, you will find at BOAS headquarters, Harlow, Essex, a co-ordinating organisation which advises customers and employs scientists, engineers and technologists to study and meet the future needs in aviation.
