FLIGHT International, 13 September 1962 35 OPERATIONS in HYDRAULIC VIBRATION TEST EQUIPMENT The particular characteristics of hydraulic powered vibration generation provide low frequency sinusoidal output at particularly high thrusts and high amplitudes. The feature of datum positioning enables the hydraulic actuator to be set to any position within its total stroke, and vibration to be superimposed about this datum position. This feature is particularly applicable in fatigue testing, as it enables preloads to be imposed upon the specimen. The frequency of operation can be as low as required down to d.c, and exceptionally large strokes can be supplied if required, thus meeting all require ments for large stroke, large thrust and low frequency. It is therefore, with pleasure that we of F.A.S. are now to collaborate with Good mans Industries Ltd., so that together we can provide complementary equipment either to combine or operate as independent systems. With these combined products the range of equipment made available extends from d.c. to 10,000 cycles. Thrusts from 2 lb to 100,000 lb and stroke up to 12" FAIREY AIR SURVEYS LIMITED WHITE WALTHAM AERODROME, BERKS MAIDENHEAD 161 EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD
