Perhaps the most interesting exhibit is the Becker AR 380, a notable feature of which is ready access for inspection. The Musketeer is a low-cost all-metal four-seater light aircraft with a Lycoming 160 h.p. engine and fixed undercarriage; the Baron has two 260 h.p. Continental engines and 4-6 seats; and the Queen Air is a 6/9 seater with two 380 h.p. Lycoming engines. Other types produced by the company are the Debonair four-seater (225 h.p. Conti nental), Bonanza 4/5-seater (260 h.p. Conti nental), Travel Air 4/5-seater (two 180 h.p. Lycoming), Twin-Bonanza 6-seater (two 295 h.p. Lycoming), Twin-Bonanza 6/7-seater (two 340 h.p. Beechcraft Musketeer Bell Helicopter Company, P.O. Box 482, Fort Worth 1, Texas, USA. Tent. The European debut of the US Army's UH-1D Iroquois helicopter is being made at Le Bourget. This holds three world rotary- wing records in time-to-climb and speed categories. The actual helicopter that set the records, in Texas last year, is on static display and is making demonstration flights. Later it will tour Europe. The UH-1D in 1962 established its records by averaging 134.9 m.p.h. over a 1,000km (621.4 miles) closed circuit, by climbing S,000m (9,843ft) in 2min 17.3sec, and by climbing 6,000m (19,686ft) in 5min 47.3sec. The UH-1D is a 13-seater with a Lycoming T53-L-9 turbine engine of 1,100 h.p. First production delivery of the model was made this year under a military contract calling for an undisclosed quantity. The Iroquois can be armed with missiles, rockets and machine guns, and UH-1A and UH-1B models have been in action in Viet Nam.
