In the missile park RAF personnel demonstrate a loading sequence with the Bristol/Ferranti Bloodhound Mk 2, the new surface-to-air missile system for the RAF, Sweden and Switzerland, while British Army personnel demonstrate the speed into action of the Thunderbird Mk 2 system. The Vigilant ex hibit in the missile park includes a Ferret scout car armed with two missiles, and the simulator for training. On Stand CIO BAC show instruments and plastics products developed for a variety of specialist applica tions. Le English Electric Lightning T.5, version biplace d'entrainement de Tintercepteur mon&place F.3, dont il porte le systeme d'armes, sera aussi presente en vol. Parmi une serie de maquettes exposees sur le stand, sera celle du transport supersonique franco-anglais Concorde, et d'autres represen tors le BAC One-Eleven dans ses versions civil et militaire, le VCIO et Super VC1G, la version pressurisee du Jet Provost et des avians de recherche aerodynamique Type 188 et Hunting H.126. Tfautres maquettes encore prefigurenl I'avion d'attaque a basse altitude TSR.2 et un avion a aile a fleche variable. En ce qui concerne les missiles, la societe expose sur son stand le Vickers Vigilant, engin guide par fits, et le English Electric Thunderbird, engin sol-air. Au pare des missiles, les Thunder bird Mk 2 et Bristol!Ferranti Bloodhound Mk 2 sont presentes dans leurs phases de mise en auvre, un char leger Ferret equipe de deux Vigilant est expose, ainsi que le simulateur pour cette arme. Au stand CIO, la BAC expose des iquipe- ments et pieces en stratifie pour des applications specialisees. Exhibits are the Beagle B.206Y (pre- production prototype for the B.206); Beagle- Wallis WA.116 autogiro; the latest version of the Airedale; a Terrier 2; and a mock-up of the cabin section of the Beagle M.218. It is hoped that an M.218 will take part in the flying demonstrations during the last two days of the salon. Typically, the Beagle B.206 is a 5/7-seater with two 310 h.p. Continental engines built by Rolls-Royce. The excellent news has lately been received that this type has been ordered for the Royal Air Force. Intended for com munication duties it will have very compre hensive equipment for all-weather operation. The WA.116 is a single-seat autogiro with a 72 h.p. Enfield- McCulloch engine.
