The company, British subsidiary of the Fafnir Bearing Co of New Britain, Conn, at present operates two factories in the United Kingdom, at Wolverhampton and Hednes- ford, Staffs. Fafnir also have an extensive organization in West Germany, jointly owned by them and a German company, and a technical agreement with an Indian company. The new factory at Lisburn is described as a logical extension of the West German operation, and the German com pany will have an interest in the US factory. Some 250 people will be employed at Lis burn when the first stage of the factory is completed. Initially, high-quality steel balls for bearings are being made there, but it is also intended to produce a line of competitive small bearings.
