FLIGHT International, 26 March 1964 15 Postgraduate Courses at CRANFIE Airline Engineering The College of Aeronautics offers a one-year post- graduate course in Airline Engineering designed for engineers and scientists of graduate standard concerned with or interested in the airline industry and the transport aircraft manufacturing industry. The syllabus covers the operational engineering and economic implications of air transport and includes the related aspects of systems, materials, design and propulsion. Full use is made of College aircraft and maintenance organisation to illustrate the operational aspects of the subject. The course is residential. TECHNICAL SALES IMPERIAL METAL INDUSTRIES (KYNOCH) LIMITED have a vacancy in the Technical Sales Depart- ment of the New Metals Group concerned with the use of titanium and its alloys in the aircraft and general engineering industries. The position will be a senior one and will involve high level development and technical service work, preparing and delivering lectures, and writing technical articles. Applicants, between the ages of 25 and 35, should possess a good University degree in Metallurgy or allied subjects and previous experience in the aircraft or engineering industries would be an advantage. EMOLUMENTS AND JOTHER BENEFITS: Salary on incremental scale starting from £1,308 to £2,070 gross per annum. Entry point according to qualifications and experience. Children's [Allowance at the rate of £120 for one child, £216 for two, and £288 per annum for three children below the age of eighteen years. Gratuity of £150 per annum. Free air (economy) passage for officer and wife both on first appointment and on leave and assistance towards cost of children's passages up to a maximum of £230 per tour.
