FLIGHT International, 2 April 1964 493 Aeromisiones operates taxi and charter servicesin the Misiones province of Argentina. Head Office: Eldorado, Misiones Province,Argentina. Fleet: one Beech D-18S, one Cessna 320Skyknight, two Cessna 310. On order: two Aztec. Aeronaves de Mexico SA was established onSeptember 1, 1934, and began operating be- tween Mexico City and Acapulco on Septem-ber 15 of that year, with a single-engined Stinson. Its early fleet consisted of a three-engined Stinson, three Bellanca Pacemakers and a Fairchild 24. The airline now has a routenetwork of about 6,500 miles within Mexico. In 1952 Aeronaves bought LAMS A (foundedin 1934) from United Air Lines and in 1954 the company also acquired Aerovias Reforma,which had been founded in 1945. In 1956 Aeronaves placed Britannias into service be-tween Mexico City and New York; these have been replaced by DC-8 services. Los Angelesand Tucson (Arizona) are also served. In July 1959 Aeronaves became a federal enter-prise owned by the Mexican Government. In 1960 Aeronaves acquired the routes of Aero-lineas Mexicanas SA. Aeronaves took over in 1962 Guest Aerovias Mexico, which continuesto operate under its own name. Aeronaves DC-8s have reopened Guest's Mexico City-Miami - Madrid service. Aeronaves de Panama is the holding companyfor Air Systems, a Panamanian-registered charter operator that duriag 1963 undertook aseries of nights carrying live cattle from Copen- hagen to the Middle East. Following the lossof one of its Douglas C-74s in an accident near Marseilles on October 9, Air Systems' licenceto operate from Denmark was withdrawn. Aero-Nord Sweden AB operates scheduled newspaper and limited passenger serviceswithin Sweden. Aeronorte—Eraprcsa de Transportes AereosNorte de Brasil SA began operations in 1950 and operates a network of feeder services inthe north-east of the country. Percival Prince aircraft were used originally but the presentschedules are flown by DC-3s. In 1953 Real acquired control of the company but Aero-norte works as a separate division. Aeroplane Co SRL is the name of an Argentinenon-scheduled and charter carrier. Fleet: Curtiss C-46. AeropJan Integration de Servicios AereosArgentinos SA—AISAA was last year granted authority to operate freight services by theArgentine National Board of Civil Aviation. Fleet: one Curtiss C-46. Aero Service Sahara undertakes charter flights,aerial work and the operation under contract of business aircraft, besides acting as theFenwick agent for Algeria. Head Office: Les Horizons Bleus, PointePescade, Algiers, Algeria. Executive: Pierre Dumont, director.Fleet: one Cessna 310, two Piper Tri-Pacer, two Bonanza, one Cessna 185. Aero Servicios Errecaborde undertakes taxiand freight flights, aerial advertising and crop-dusting.Head Office: Salta 1761, Mar del Plata, Argentina.Fleet: one Rapide, four Boeing-Stearman PT-17 (crop-dusting). Aerotaxi Rio de la Plata SRL is an Argentinenon-scheduled operator formed last year. Initially the fleet will be restricted to aircraftof less than 8,0001b gross weight. Head Office: Buenos Aires, Argentina. Aero-Taxi is a Dutch charter operator thatbegan operations from Rotterdam in 1961. Safirs have been operated on taxi nights fromGroningen airport. A DC-3 may be added to the fleet.Head Office: Rotterdam, Holland. Fleet: one Dornier Do 28, Saab Safirs. Aero Taxi SA was formed in 1953 and is one ofthe oldest Peruvian taxi and charter operators. Aero Taxi's fleet is based in the jungle at SanRamon, north-east of Lima, and the company does a great deal of freight carrying to isolatedsettlements in the Peruvian jungle region. A network of seven HF radio stations is alsooperated. Head Office: Lima, Peru.Fleet: two Cessna UC-78, one Cessna 180. Aero Transportes Entre Rios SRL was formedin 1962 in Argentina to operate domestic and international non-scheduled freight flights.Head Office: Tucuman 1441, 3er Piso, Buenos Aires, Argentina.Fleet: one Curtiss C-46. Aerotransportes Literal Argentino—ALA wasfounded in 1957 to operate regular services using four Aero Commanders between BuenosAires and Rosario. After some initial diffi- culties the company was reorganized andDC-3s were put into operation. In 1958 ALA took over Transatlantica, a newly formed company planning to operate DC-4s to Miami.ALA's present operations are confined to a network of domestic routes in northern Argen-tina based on Rosario and international ser- vices to Montevideo in Uruguay, and toAsuncion in Paraguay. Aero Transportes Vitoria Ltda is a Braziliancharter and taxi operator that in 1962 com- menced scheduled services between Rio deJaneiro and Cabo Frio using Lodestars. Six services a week are now operated on this route.Head Office: Santos Dumont Airport, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.Executives: Edgar de Franca Batista, manag- ing director; L. E. de Carvalho Batista,commercial director. Fleet: Lodestar, one Lockheed L-12A, one Cessna T-50. Aero Transport Flugbetriebsgesellschaft wasformed early in 1958 in association with Lufttransport Unternehmen—LTU—to oper-ate charter flights from Austria. Such flights have been undertaken to Teneriffe, Palma,Nairobi and Assuan, as well as between London and Innsbruck.Head Office: Vienna, Austria. Fleet: two L.749A Constellation, one L.049Constellation, one Viking, one Dove. Aero Trasporti Italiana—ATI is a newlyformed subsidiary of Alitalia formed to oper- ate domestic services which it will take overfrom SAM. Three Friendships ordered by Alitalia will be used, and the major share-holders in ATI are Alitalia and the Institute per la Ricqstruzicme Industrial (IRI).Domestic services will be expanded, particu- larly in southern Italy, and operations are dueto start this spring. Aero Transportes SA—ATSA was establishedin 1943 and began scheduled services jn 1944. Services were suspended in the following yearand resumed in January 1947. The company ' now operates a return service thrice-weeklybetween Monterrey and Matamoros. Head Office: 117A Avenida Juarez, Mexico City, Mexico.Executives: R. O'Farrill, president; H. J. Air Alpes operates Turbo-Porters on mountain sightseeing flights, as well as on services to Alpine skiing resorts
