FLIGHT International, 2 April 1964 f ill PTFE frOIIl Palmer PalmerPTFE Flexible Hose Assemblies are designed to meet the critical demands of extended service under conditions of temperature and stress where rubber assemblies would be useless. They are approved by the Ministry of Aviation and Air Registration Board and have for all practical purposes, an in- definite service life and no limit to shelf life. They are satisfactory for continuous service with internal and ambient temperatures between —73°C and +232°C-even up to 260C in many conditions. The tube material is completely inert to all fluids except molten alkali metals, and, in certain circumstances, elementary fluorine. Palmer PTFE Hose Assemblies are currently flying on both military and civil aircraft hydraulic systems and are projected for all new military and civil aircraft now being designed at system pressures up to 4,000 p.s.i.
