24 FUCHT International, 2 April 19(4 Flowmetering tailor-made for the Trident by the Engine Instrument Division. The Elliott fiowmeter system on the Trident was developed specifically for the requirements of this latest addition to the jet fleets flying the world's air routes. The trans- mitter depicted was developed from the well- proven variable orifice type units that Aircraft Engine Instruments Division have manu- factured for a wide range of civil and mili- tary aircraft. This particular unit Type 7801- 11000, designed for direct engine mounting to the Rolls-Royce Spey, has an accuracy of ± 1.0% of actual flow rate over the cruise band. The combined amplifier/indicator was again developed to meet the precise needs of the Trident. The unit show combined the functions of both amplifier and indicator in a single unit. It improves upon the earlier two-unit systems, wherein the amplifier was housed in separate box, saving weight and gaining- ±0.75% in accuracy. Aircraft Engine Instrument Division manu- facture both turbine and True Mass fiowmeter systems, offering the world's most, compre- hensive range. transmitter type 7801. 11000 indicator type 7802. 11000 aircraft engine instruments division 3>k Member of the Elliott Automation Group ELLIOTT BROTHERS [LONDON] LIMITED / AIRPORT WORKS / ROCHESTER / KENT / CHATHAM 44400
