TAKING THE ROUGH WITH THE SMOOTH The two photographs above show the 15ft Dynacraft, with its newly extended and rounded bow, riding its cushion across the Solent top) and on the Hamble River. The remarkable photograph on the left, taken with a telephoto lens from the valiantly striving speedboat about 100yd behind, shows our representative demon- strating the Dynacraft1's stability as it skims across a lively Solent chop at 20kt, headed for Calshot. The top photograph on the facing page shows the Dynacraft streaking to- ward Cowes. At Union Dynamics' Hamble work- shop (centre) designer Bryan Phillips, fore- ground, discusses plans with project manager Owen Douglas. Behind them final modifications are made to a master mould, from which the first production machine will come next month.
