Utilizing the information available in the official list, and our own recognition of names, we have endeavoured to make the summary a comprehensive one. Military-list honours and awards are listed separately on page 1085. As is usual, the majority of those named here are officials of the MoA and Ministry of Defence, only the more senior of whom will be widely known; but aeronautical science and industry are represented.
