FLIGHT International, IS June 1964 Why read through all these when you can tell at a glance? Both of these cockpit displays convey the same informa- tion. The similarity ends there. To begin with, each Bendix'' vertical scale indicator consolidates and simplifies the presentations of four round dial indicators. A pilot can tell at a glance what commands have been given, how the aircraft is responding and what other commands need to be given. Secondly, extensive human factors studies prove that the closely spaced, vertically moving white columns and zero parallax design provide a much quicker and more accurate evaluation of changes in engine performance than their round dial counterparts. And vertical scales require a lot less panel space, too. (55% less, in fact.) Bendix vertical scale indicators are available for any flight or engine parameter for aircraft with any number of engines. They can be combined into a panel display or used individually. All have been thoroughly proved during more than four years of operational testing. For full infor- mation, write us at 605 Third Ave., New York 16, N.Y. Cable: BENDIXINT, New York, N.Y.
