A massive aircraft-towing tractor, the largest of its type produced in Britain, is the 70 ton, 71 tonne, ATT 77. Designed and built to lata specification for new genera tion tractors capable of towing up to one million lb, 453,590kg: two copies have been ordered by BOAC. A Cummins VT.1710 635 b.h.p. diesel gives a maximum speed of 20 m.p.h., 32k.p.h./hr, and a maximum tractive effort of 77,2001b, 35,000kg.
