FLIGHT International * March 1971 309 ORGANISED by Union Syndicale des Industries Aeronautiques et Spatiales (USIAS), the 29th International Air and Space Show opens at the traditional site at Le Bourget Airport on Thursday, May 27. The 1971 Show should be remarkable for the variety of new aircraft on display. A selection of possible Paris debutantes may include; Trislander and Lynx from Britain; Corvette, Falcon 10, Mirage G.8 and Mercure from France; VFW 614 from Ger many; XC-1A from Japan; Tu-144 from the Soviet Union; and DC-10 and C-5A from the United States—the US theme is "Air Transport for the Masses." A dozen nations will be represented in an array of exhibits spread across 75,000m! of static parks and through eight halls and pavilions. The United Kingdom Pavilion (Hall E) should once again be a centre of special attraction and interest, with some 60 member companies of the SBAC expected as participants in the British Joint Venture. Several other British companies will be exhibiting independently in other halls. June 2 Equipment Day; public admitted 1300hr to 1830hr. June 3 Rotorcraft Day; also, special emphasis on high - tensile steel; public admitted 1300hr to 1830hr. June 4 Specialists and Foreign Missions; also, Telecom munications Day; trade only (public not admitted). June 5 International Flight Demon strations : public admitted 0930hr to 1830hr. June 6 Closing day; International Air Parade; public admitted 0930hr to 1830hr.
