Initial conversions from Heron airframes have been delivered and a slightly revised development, the ST-27A, is scheduled for first delivery in December at a list price of $500,000. Saunders is designing a successor which will not rely on the supply of bought-in airframes, a limiting consideration in the company's present production plans. Max payload; 174 n.m., 200 st miles, 321km Following the acquisition of design rights and existing production stocks by Scottish Aviation, the Jetstream will shortly be offered again at a price which has been pro visionally set at $800,000, fully airways-equipped. Early versions of the aircraft are in service in the southern United States and in France. The aircraft was built to meet FAR Part 25 requirements and it is expected to be offered at a weight above 12,5001b to improve the payload/ range performance. Rolls-Royce is setting up assembly of the Turbomeca Astazou engines for future Jetstreams as a result of the placing of a military order for the aircraft.
