HJGHT International, 11 January 1973 Zambia Airways Corporation requires Technical staff with at least 3 years of experi ence with an Airline or an aeronautic industry to fill the following vacancies:— 1. ENGINEERING TECHNICAL OFFICERS (Clerical Engineers) For these positions candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of Air craft Maintenance Procedures and proven ability to elaborate Aircraft Maintenance Schedules, Job Cards and Modifications. Positions offered cover the following trades:— (a) Airframe and Power Plant (b) Electrical, Radio, Instruments and Auto-Pilot 2. PURCHASING OFFICERS (for Material Planning Office) For these positions applicants must have a thorough working and theoretical knowledge of spare parts initial pro visioning and re-provisioning procedures as well as purchase orders issuing and follow-up. 3. QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTORS AND AIRCRAFT ENGINEERS Candidates must have very good experi ence, at least 5 years, in aircraft main tenance and quality control procedures, supported by approved licences for H.S. 748 aircraft. CONTRACT AND SALARY 3 years contract with a basic salary starting from £3,600 p.a. plus annual increments, meal allowances and 25% gratuity calculated on total annual salary, in local currency—36 days leave per year and generous travel privileges, furnished accommodation provided at moderate rental. CHIEF PILOT Candidates for this post must have the background and experience for them to be immediately acceptable to the D.o.T.I. for an A.O.C. operation. Sound business and commercial acumen together with good administrative capabilities are no less im portant than the required professional quali fications which are A.L.T.P., HS.125 type rated, I.R.E., T.R.E., and preferably a Q.F.I., SENIOR CAPTAIN Must be A.L.T.P., HS.125 type rated, with I.R.E. and/or T.R.E. preferred. CAPTAINS Must be A.L.T.P., HS.125 type rated. Pref erence will be given to candidates with I.R.E. and/or T.R.E. SENIOR FIRST OFFICER Preferably with A.L.T.P., but S.C.P.L/I.R will be considered. HS.125 type rating essential. FIRST OFFICERS Minimum requirement is C.P.L./I.R pre ferably with HS.125 type rating. OPERATIONS OFFICERS Experience in busy general aviation opera tions preferred.
