948 FLIGHT International, 6 December 1973 Pilots' Christmas Shopping list aHwH We offer a range of articles to appeal to the private pilot or enthusiast on the following four pages. Some are of value in the air, some on the ground and one or two are purely for pleasure. Many are widely available but we have made our selection from three sources: the British Light Aviation Centre and the British Gliding Association, both of whom are at Artillery Mansions, 75 Victoria Street, London SW1 and Air Touring Shops. The headquarters of the latter is at Elstree Aerodrome but most general aviation airfields operate shops stocking the items on an agency basis. The prices which are quoted throughout include Value Added Tax. I "Theory of Modern Cross-country gliding," £/75; postcards, six for 26p; and Christmas cards, ten for 70p. 2 BGA blazer badges, 38p, and pin badges, 35p. For the car, badges at tl-37, windscreen stickers, lip, and keyrings, 38p. Bookmarks, I6p, and BGA wings, 33p. 3 BGA tie, 11-32, and cravat, £1-81. Glass ashtray with glider motif, 38p. 4 The Aerospot calendar contains a fine aviation colour study for each month and costs CI-25. "Free as a bird," £3-50; "Jonathan Livingstone Seagull," €1-50; "Gliding," 12-50; "British Gliders and Sailplanes," 13-25 .*
