Air Paris, formerly known as Air Orly, operates a network of scheduled pas senger services centred around the Paris airport of Orly Sud. Routes are Paris - Le Havre, Paris - Rouen, Paris - Royan, Paris - Les Sables d'Olonne, Le Havre- London Gatwick, Rouen - London and Caen-London. Current frequency on the services to London is four flights per day from Le Havre, three from Caen and two daily services from Rouen. Charter work within metropolitan France is also undertaken. Air Rouergue, founded in December 1970 and until January 1974 known as Uni Air Rouergue SA, operates a regular scheduled Beech 99 service between Rodez, Paris Le Bourget and Lyons. Cur rent frequency is three daily flights to Paris and one flight a day to Lyons. The airline, which is based at Rodez-Marcil- lac Airport, is also authorised to fly charters within France and the Mediter ranean. Air Samoa Ltd operates Britten-Norman Islanders on a daily scheduled passenger service on the 65-mile route between the capital, Apia, and Asau on the island of Savaii. On demand, services are also operated continuously between Apia, Falelolo and Lalomalava, Savaii. Air Samoa pioneered internal air services in Western Samoa on November 1, 1969. Air South has received CAB authorisation to operate 40-passenger Fairchild F-27Js between Atlanta, St Simons, Beaufort, Hilton Head and Waycross. Air Speed Inc now provides scheduled commuter services in the eastern United States, connecting Bedford (Massachu setts) to the cities of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) and New York/La-Guardia. Schedule is operated twice- daily on weekdays only with a Beech 99. Air Speed entered the commuter market in the summer of 1974. Air St Pierre operates a daily scheduled passenger service from He de St Pierre, which forms part of the French St Pierre and Miquelon Islands off Newfound land's south coast, to Sydney, Canada. A Douglas DC-3 flies this route six days per week, excluding Sundays. Services are operated in association with Eastern Provincial Airways (1963) Ltd. Airtransit Canada, a subsidiary of Air Canada, was formed in 1973 to operate the Federal Government-sponsored Stol demonstration service between Ottawa and Montreal. Services started on July 24, 1974, between Rockliffe Stolport, Ottawa, and the Montreal Stolport, based on the Victoria parking lot used during Expo 67. Thirty flights are offered daily on a half-hour schedule between 0730hr and 2200hr. On week ends and public holidays there are eight services on a two-hour schedule. Air Transport Inc provides scheduled airmail services under contract to the US Post Office, employing Beech 18s on the routes Nashville (Tennessee)- Air Sunshine is the new operating name of AAT Airlines Inc, which began air- taxi flights on July 1, 1971. In addition to its daily scheduled DC-3 services between Key West, Florida and Miami International Airport. Air Tahiti, located at Faa'a International Airport, was formed in 1968 by a group of local businessmen. The airline currently provides scheduled passenger services with Islanders from Papeete to Moorea and Tetiaroa. Twenty-three daily flights are scheduled to Moorea at approximately half-hour intervals. Air Tahiti also offers extensive charter ser vices to all French Polynesian Islands and the Cook Islands. Air Tasmania, until the company's re organisation in 1973 known as Aerial Services (Tasmania) Pty Ltd, began operations in 1969, when it took over the TAA routes from Hobart to Queens-town, Launceston, Devonport and Wyn- yard. Queenstown and Wynyard are currently served six times per week, Atlanta (Georgia), and Miami - Fort Lauderdale-Orlando - Jacksonville-Talla hassee-Panama City - Pensacola (all in Florida). Air Vava'u—see Tonga Internal Air Ser vice Air Venus Ltd was established on December 22, 1971, and is controlled by Kaissis Holdings Ltd. Daily domestic services from Nicosia International Air port to Paphos on the west coast of Cyprus were scheduled to start late spring/early summer 1974, but due to the occupation of parts of the island by Turkish invasion forces in July and the subsequent closing-down of Nicosia International Airport this project had to be postponed indefinitely.
