CSE can now offer a rebarrelling service using only Lycoming certificated new barrels for most Lycoming S%" bore cylinders. Cylinder heads will be returned fitted with a new nitrided barrel, and completely overhauled with new valve guides, valve seats and rocker shaft bushes. The Rebarrelling Service will cost £200 each cylinder plus VAT ex-Oxford. Any cylinder head found to have a repairable crack will be subject to an additional welding charge of £35 plus VAT. If the scheme proves popular, it is intended to create a pool stock of selected cylinders to be held for service purposes at a later date. Initially, we offer this service as a salvage/repair scheme to customers' own property. If a cylinder is classified as scrap, a charge of £10 plus VAT will be made to cover cleaning and inspection costs. This will be refunded if a new replacement cy I inder is purchased f rom ou r stores. Rebarrelled cylinders will be despatched with CAA Certification. Warranty conditions similar to new AVCO Lycoming cylinders will apply. • For various reasons a few of the older types of Lycoming cylinders may not be suitable for rebarrelling. • Plain cylinders, when fitted as original equipment to low compression, narrow deck, short stroke engines (320 and 480 series), are not suitable for rebarrelling with nitrided cylinders.
