FLIGHT International, 6 January 1979 57 S/NGAPORt AfRUNES INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING APPOINTMENTS IN SINGAPORE COMMANDERS Requirements For those with endorsements on B727, B707 or DC10: Valid ALTP acceptable to licensing authorities in Singapore, with current instrument rating. Minimum of 5,000 flying hours with 1,500 command hours, including at least 500 hours in command on one of the specified aircraft types. ENGINEER OFFICERS Valid Flight Engineer's Licence with B727, B707 or DC10 endorsement acceptable to licensing authorities in Singapore. Minimum of 500 flying hours inclu ding at least 100 hours as a Flight Engineer on one of the specified air craft types. Tenure and prospects Initially 2 years with good prospects 3 years, for extension. Those who are 54 years or above will be employed on a year to year basis. ATTRACTIVE FRINGE BENEFITS * Company's contribution to provident fund on confirmation; * Annual Wage Supplement equivalent to one month's basic salary for those with a year's service at time of payment and proportionately for confirmed employees with less than a year's service; * School Fees Assistance—S$300 per month (for Commanders and First Officers) and S$270 per month (for Engineer Officers) for each child to a maximum of 3 children between 6-19 years attending school; * Rental Assistance—80% of basic rent of premises up to a maximum of SS500 per month (for Commanders and First Officers) and S$450 per month (for Engineer Officers); * Inducement allowance of S$6,000 for each completed calendar year of service; * Free medical and dental treatment for employee; * Medical insurance scheme for eligible dependants—free for Commanders and on contributory basis for others; * Payment by Company of loss of licence insurance premium for maximum insurance cover of S$150,000 for Com manders, S$110,000 for First Officers and S$100,000 for Engineer Officers. (Those on one year contract will not be insured by the Company for loss of licence); * Attractive meal and night-stop allowances whilst on flying duties including provisions of first-class hotel accom modation at night-stop locations; * 6 weeks' annual leave and air travel for Commanders and family; and 4 weeks' annual leave and air travel for First Officers, Engineer Officers and family.
