Our objectives A strong Royal Air Force with powerful air elements in all the Defence Services. A vigorous civil air arm in which the Airlines, Business and General Aviation together with Sport and Leisure flying organisations can operate as a complementary whole. A dynamic aerospace industry able to lead in technology and to compete profitably world-wide, either independently or in partnership with others. A youth programme to encourage 'air mindedness' and to assist young people to prepare for a career in aviation. Membership benefits Members receive monthly a copy of Air Pictorial together with reports and notices issued from time-to-time. Also invitations to attend events arranged by The Air League. The Articles of Association are available to Members on application. To help achieve these objectives The Air League is: Contributing to discussion and debate on defence and aerospace issues with members of both Houses of Parliament. Developing contacts with appropriate Government Departments and Industrial Organisations. Participating in the work of Learned Institutions and special interest groups. Providing contributions and comment to newspapers, periodicals, radio and television programmes.
