A service from Essendon to Flinders Island and Launceston links the mainland with the Tas- manian network which com prises routes to Hobart and to Devonport, Wynyard, and King Island. Domestic services link Honiara, Ringi Cove, Gizo, Munda, Sege, Mono, Balalae, Choiseul Bay, Bara- koma, Auki, Parasi, Santa Cruz, Kira Kira, Bellona, Rennel, and Kieta. A route from Honiara to Espiritu Santo was inaugurated on April 7, 1978, and now serves Port Vila also.
