Appointments and Situations gHEEEEH I AIR I FORCE 3 PILOTS There is a continuing requirement for contract pilots for the Sultan of Oman's Air Force at Flight Lieutenant level. Applicants must have held commissioned rank as a Pilot in one of the British Armed Forces and have retired recently or be on the point of retirement. Qualifications required are: FIGHTER PILOTS (For Hunter and Jaguar aircraft) A good military flying background, with considerable experience in the ground attack role, is essential. Precedence will be given to QFI's. Reference No. 4. HELICOPTER PILOTS Good all round helicopter flying experience in a military role is essential, preferably on turbine engined aircraft and an instrument rating is desirable. Precedence will be given to QHI's. Reference No. 3. TRANSPORT PILOTS Previous experience of medium transport aircraft in a military role is essential. Precedence will be given to QFI's. Reference No. 2. Age limit strictly 45 These are uniformed contract appointments of two years unaccom panied with the starting emolument equivalent to £18,400 p.a. at the current rate of exchange. There is an end of contract gratuity of approximately £5,000. Pay and gratuities are normally tax-free. Mess accommodation and services are provided without charge and 20 days UK leave is granted three times per year with air passages paid.
