UNDERWAY The B-1B long range combat aircraft Flight Test Program is underway-ahead of schedule. The test aircraft, the second of four B-1 prototypes produced by Rockwell International's North American Aircraft Operations, was fitted with a new flight control system to simulate the flight handling qualities of the new B-1 B multi-role bomber. The successful completion of this test flight marked a significant milestone in the production of the B-1B, which is led to begin entering the Strategic Air Command inventory during 1985. At Re - !
