(9411 FORECLOSURE SALE JETSTREAM AIRCRAFT/GULFSTREAM AIRCRAFT & SPARE ENGINES The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is soliciting offers to purchase any or all of the following: two HP-137 Jetstream aircraft and two G-159C Gulfstream aircraft, four spare Garrett Airesearch engines, Model TPE-331-1OU-501E, three lots of disassembled engine parts and one lot of spare parts. These were all collateral on a defaulted FAA-guaranteed loan to Excellair Airlines. Foreclosure on the collateral was made and it is held by the FAA as the secured party in possession. This collateral is stored at the FAA's facilities at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with the exception of two lots of disassembled Gulfstream engine parts located at Aviall, Inc. and International Turbine Service, Dallas, Texas. The collateral is available for inspection by prospective buyers. Arrangements for inspection can be made and further information obtained by contacting Mrs Diane Wood, 202/426-3711. The terms of the sale are "as is/where is" and all removal costs will be borne by the buyer(s). All offers must be for cash payment. Offers may be tendered for one or more of the aircraft, spare engines and lots of engine and spare parts. The FAA reserves the right to sell any or all of the aircraft or other collateral prior to the date set for receipt of offers, to reject any or all offers, to negotiate with one or more offerors and to accept the offer or combination of offers it deems most advantageous. The FAA will require a non-refundable deposit of $240,000 per Gulfstream aircraft, $70,000 per Jetstream aircraft and $12,000 per spare engine to be made by each successful offeror at the time a sales agreement is entered into. This deposit will be retained by FAA and not refunded if the offeror withdraws its offer. The parts lots may be sold to interested, successful offerors of the airplanes or engines or sold separately. Transfer of the collateral to buyers will be by an FAA Bill of Sale without warranty. The FAA may at its discretion amend any of the provisions of this solicitation. All offers should be received no later than February 25, 1985. Offers should be submitted to: Mr Kenneth W. Harris, Manager, Aviation Activity Branch APO-230, Room 940, Federal Aviation Administration 800 Independence Avenue, S.W.
