Thomson-CSF was chosen for the A 300J 600 and A 310 Airbuses 1 and has now been select-, ed for the electronics in the cockpit of the latest Airbus version, the A 320, the first civil aircraft to use electronic controls. The all-electronic colour instrument panel was de signed by Thomson-CSF and built in cooperation with VDO-Luftfahrgerate Werk. Also fitted with Jaeger instruments it al- I lows the pilot to devote J all his attention to flight security and control. Thomson-CSF has thus become one of the most significant suppliers of electronics equipment for the latest Airbus. Ten years' continuous research and develop ment have lead to Thomson-CSF's recogni tion by all the major airlines as one of the three major world electronics manufacturers.
