TEETSPT The F/A-18 Hornet is the state of the art in tactical combat aviation. Its tolerances are so exacting that McDonnell Douglas trusted no one else to produce these incredible machines... McDonnell Douglas went a long way to find someone that could assemble the F/A-18 until they saw the facilities of Australia's Government Aircraft Factories. Now GAF is the only assembler of the F/A-18 outside of the McDonnell Douglas plant itself. To be able to produce components for the state of the art in fighters, GAF has to be able to provide the state of the art in manu facturing facilities and capabilities. It does. Carbon fibre technology, chemical milling, structural bonding... these and other up-to-the-minute techniques are available at GAF's plants in Melbourne, Australia. GAF has the expertise to design and manufacture any item required by the aviation industry, anywhere in the world. For more information visit the GAF marquee or write to the Commercial ManaRer, Government Aircraft Factories- Private Bag 4, Port Melbourne. 3207 You might not want us to produce any thing as sophisticated as the F/A-18, but it must be reassuring to know that we can.
