The specialised know-how of DAF Trucks in the field of high-quality vehicles was the sound foundation of the independent DAF SPECIAL PRODUCTS division. The F16 landing gears, of which over 650 have been manufactured so far, are a striking example. Not only in the air but also on the ground DAF SPECIAL PRODUCTS gives evidence of its strength. Its expertise in the field of defence tech nology has found a logical sequel in the develop ment and production of infantry vehicles, weapon systems, fuel systems and simulators. You will meet DAF SPECIAL PRODUCTS in several co-operative ventures: as one of the management organisation, as a partner in co- development (Fokker 50), co-production (Leopard) or as a licensee (YPR 765, F16). To DAF SPECIAL PRODUCTS quality is a matter of course. This was recognised by the Dutch Ministry of Defence when, acting on behalf of NATO, it gran ted DAF SPECIAL PRODU CTS the AQAP-1 certificate: a guarantee of optimumqualitycontrolfromdesign to final inspection and after-sales service. The highly skilled staff of the Repair and Overhaul division not only guarantee the quality of their work but also show great flexibility in meeting customers requirements and high dependability in the time ly delivery of such components as F16 landing gears, rotor components and flapping links for helicopters, and components for the A10, F27, F28andF5. The activities of this division call for special facilities geared to the specific requirements of commer cial and military aviation, for it is important that aircraft remain grounded for a minimum of time.
