Gamta changes venue LONDON The UK General Aviation and Manufacturers Association (Gamta) will hold its 1986 conference on November 26 at the Heathrow Park Hotel (formerly the Crest Hotel). The change from the estab lished location at London's Royal Garden Hotel is aimed at securing a larger conference and exhibition area, while containing the cost of partici pation. Overnight accommo dation costs will be halved, says Gamta chief executive Danny Forman. The event will be attended by CAA chairman Christopher Tugendhat, who will address the conference. Members will no doubt be keen to hear how the CAA will implement the recent instruction from John Moore, minister at the Department of Transport, to ensure that the CAA must "continually strive to ensure that regulation is no greater than necessary and to reduce its costs, [which should be kept] under constant review". Getting twin training taped DENHAM ~ Airtape Publications, based at Denham aerodrome, Buckinghamshire, UK, has recently produced cassette tape training courses on the Group "B" Multi-Engine Rating. Airtape is also selling courses on the PPL, the IMC Rating, and Night Rating, and sells individual technical tapes on various aircraft types. Airtape is also shortly to announce its first video course. Details of these courses can be obtained on Denham (0895) 833171.
