B747, A310 & B757 First Officers Singapore Airlines is looking for First Officers (F/Os) for its B747, A310 and B757 fleets.F/Os with the type endorsement for B747, A310/A300-600, B757/ B767 will be employed on the appropriate aircraft type and may opt for either expatriate or national terms. Those without any of the above aircraft type endorsements will be employed on national terms and will receive conversion training to a specific aircraft type. REQUIREMENTS Licence Valid CPL with current instrument rating acceptable to the Singapore Licensing Authorities. Maximum Age National terms - 40 years; Expatriate terms - 50 years. Minimum Flying Hours 2000 hours as 2nd pilot with at least 500 hours on B747 or 200 hours on A310/A300-600 or B757/B767 aircraft. Those without any of the above endorsements must have 2000 hours on commercial jet aircraft. TENURE & PROSPECTS National terms: A long term career with the airline with prospects for command according to SIA's experience requirements and selection criteria based on performance, suitability and citizenship. Expatriate terms: Initial contract of 3 years with possibility of extension and prospects for advancement to the B747 for those on the A310/B757 fleet. TRAINING BOND Those requiring conversion training would be required to enter into a training bond ranging from S$55,000 to S$130,000 depending on the fleet type for a period of 5 years with a cost reduction of 20% per year. Additionally, a bank guarantee of up to S$48,000 is required as security for the period of the bond. REMUNERATION Basic Salary: B747 A310/B757 During training S$3050 S$2775 After training S$3150 S$2875 Annual wage supplement of a 13th month basic salary. TAXATION Annual after-tax salary from S$49,000 to S$l 14,000. COMMON BENEFITS FOR NATIONAL & EXPATRIATE TERMS Profit Sharing Scheme: An annual payment of up to 3 months' basic salary depending on the Company's performance. Productivity Allowance (based on average flying hours): S$500 to S$700 pm depending on fleet type Meal Allowances (average): S$500 to S$1700 pm depending on fleet type Transport Allowance: S$23 per round trip Annual Leave: National terms -4 weeks; Expatriate terms - 6 weeks Employer contribution to a provident fund. Free medical and dental treatment. Subsidised medical insurance for dependants. Free air travel for employee and family once a year. Discounted travel on other occasions. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR EXPATRIATE TERMS Inducement Allowance: S$500 pm payable at the end of each calendar year Expatriation Allowance: S$1025 pm if married and S$775 pm if single Gratuity: S$6000 for each completed year of service payable at the end of contract. House Rental Assistance: Subsidised up to S$1350 pm Child Education Assistance: Up to S$500 pm per child for a maximum of 3 children and 50% reimbursement of remaining amount above S$500. (All currency figures are in Singapore dollars - about S$2.03toUS$l.)
