AEROSPACE APPOINTMENTS Senior Operations Officer (Flight Operations Inspector) Civil Aviation Department, Hong Kong Up to £26,300 pa + 25% gratuity • Low tax and generous fringe benefits The Civil Aviation Department in Hong Kong requires Senior Operations Officers to monitor the operating standards of the holders of Air Operator's Certificates and supervise authorised examiners. Candidates should have (a) a current Airline Transport Pilot's Licence with not less than 4,000 flying hours and air transport pilot experience of which 1,000 hours should be as pilot-in-command on civil jet transport aircraft; and (b) recent experience in civil aviation management as an Operations Manager, Training Captain or similar post. Exceptionally well qualified pilots with extensive B747, B737, B707 or L1011 training experience who have until recently held a licence but no longer do so, may be considered. If appointed, they will be required to maintain competency on a flight simulator. The appointment will be for an agreement of two tours each of three years' resident service. The salary scale is from HK$28,070 to HK$31,865 per month (approximately £23,230 to £26,371 * p.a.) plus 25% gratuity. Candidates will be eligible for a 'Flight Allowance' ranging from HK$3,285 to HK$7,080 per month (approximately £2,718 to £5,859 p.a.). In addition, incremental credits for experience will be granted to candidates holding a valid Air Transport Pilot Licence for more than 10 years.
