Substantial damage. — 341 ER Precautionary engine shutdown and diversion to Moscow Sheremetyevo when low oil pressure indicated. — 1 5 ? Both engines failed. Forced landing. — 110 T/O Wing panel (5ft square) came off. ATC notified crew, who returned to land. — 3 26 ER Following engine trouble, crew carried out forced landing on a dirt road. — 4 27 C Soon after take-off the No.2 engine mounting failed completely at wing, and engine separated. Aircraft returned to land safely. — 2 15 ? Problems with No.l engine, returned to land but propeller failed to feather. Forced landing on compacted snow to one side of approach path. — ? 122 G Auxiliary power unit fire. 15 ? 239 T/O Aborted take-off because of fire warning. — ? ? Was due for inspection in August 1990, and had not been removed in aircraft's eight-year service. Fleet check initiated. — 64 T/O Engine failure. Suspected foreign object damage. 46 20 305 ER While cruising at 31,000ft the aircraft suddenly climbed 1,500ft. Captain took control and diverted to Darwin. Clear-air turbulence given as probable cause, but autopilot problems not ruled out. — 100 C Fan blade broke in CFM56-3C engine near top of climb. Crew throttled engine back and returned to Gatwick. — 79 C Fan blade broke in CFM56-3C engine near top of climb. Crew shut down damaged engine and diverted to East Midlands Airport. — 4 29 L Nosewheel failed to lock when selected down. A ground engineer who entered the nosewheel bay to inspect the problem was killed when the nosegear collapsed. — 374 G Both aircraft awaiting take-off, Thai 747 behind BA 757. Thai cleared ahead of BA to meet slot, and, in turning to taxi around the 757, hit its tail with wingtip. — 119 G ' ,;;| 1 — ? C Birdstrike broke cockpit, injuring copilot. Indian Airlines repp'rts this as sixth damaging birdstrike this month and 52nd since January (Reuter).
