HtifiRimt mruiRimtim (3 AirNiugini PURCHASING & INVENTORY CONTROLLER Air Niugini is the National Airline of Papua New Guinea operating a growing fleet comprising an Airbus A310, with a second to arrive in 1990, 7 Fokker F28 and 2 de Havilland Dash-7 aircraft servicing over 20 domestic ports and an expanding International network including Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Guam, Jayapura, Honiara, Port Vila, and the Australian cities of Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney. MANAGEMENT TRAINING MANAGER Based in Port Moresby the Management Training Manager will design, implement and conduct training programmes for Supervisory and Management staff throughout the Airline. An essential part of this role is the ongoing appraisal of senior staff to ensure that their full potential is developed through continuing formal training and work experience. The successful applicant will have a significant input into the analysis of the Airline's overall training needs, while at the same time supervising our Management Cadet Programmes, Apprentice Training Schemes and co-ordinating overseas training and education programmes for selected employees. Applicants should hold a relevant qualification in Business or Management related field, together with formal Teacher Training qualifications, and at least 6 years training experience preferably in the Airline Industry. Based in Port Moresby, the Purchasing and Inventory Controller is accountable for the control and maintenance of the Airline's inventory of aircraft parts, rotable components, consumable items and commercial stores using fully automated EDP inventory systems with a continuous stocktaking program. The Controller is also responsible for the negotiation and purchase of materials within defined price, quality and delivery parameters. Applicants should hold a relevant qualification in a Business or Technical field, and be a member of a Professional Purchasing Association. Applicants must also have at least 10 years purchasing experience within an Airline with at least two of those at a senior supervisory level. Experience with EDP Inventory systems such as Merlin, and fully automated stock control systems would be an advantage. For both positions a three (3) year contract is offered which includes an attractive salary with an additional 24% gratuity paid each six months and a contributory superannuation scheme paid on termination. In addition, rent-free furnished accommodation, six weeks annual leave with leave fares paid together with Airline concessional travel benefits. The opportunities for capital accumulation are enhanced by the low 2% taxation on gratuity and superannuation.
