WORLD AIRLINE DIRECTORY Air Lingus Commuter has five Shorts 360s Aberdeen Airways is a new British charter and scheduled service airline, formed from the former Air Ecosse opera tion and Peregrin Air Services. A scheduled service is flown between Aberdeen, Edinburgh and East Midlands; the airline also has oil-related charter contracts. Aboitz Air Transport is a newly formed Philippine cargo airline. Services are planned from Cebu to Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo, using four Lockheed C- 130A aircraft. ACE-Transvalair is a French cargo carrier which operates charter services; FH-227 and F.27 operations have been transferred to Orly. Two FH-227s are dedicated to cargo contracts and two are operated by TAT on the Metz-Paris and Basle-Lyon routes. Fleet: one Fairchild-Hiller FH-227B, two Douglas DC-3. Adria Airways (formerly Inex Adria Aviopromet) operates charter services between Jugoslavia and Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and also provides scheduled domestic and international passenger services. Domestic services link Ljubljana with Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje, Titograd, Maribor, Split and Dubrovnik; Belgrade with Sarajevo, Skopje, Zagreb and Split; and Zagreb with Mostar, Skopje, Split, Dubrovnik and Sarajevo. Additional seasonal domestic services are also operated between major Jugoslav cities and the Adriatic coast. International scheduled services link Ljubljana and Belgrade with Larnaca, Split and Ljubljana with Munich, Ljubljana with London (Gatwick) and Paris (Orly), Ljubljana and Zagreb with Tel Aviv, Ljubljana with Athens, Djibouti and the Seychelles and Dubdrovnik and Titograd with Bari. History: The company was founded in 1961, as Adria Airways and was reorganised in 1968, when the name was changed to Inex Adria Airways. The title was changed back to Adria Airways in May 1986. History: The airline was formed in 1936 to operate scheduled air services between Ireland and Great Britain. In 1947 Aerlinte Eireann was formed to operate transat lantic services, but these did not begin until 1958. The two companies' operations were later integrated. The airline intends in the near future to start new services to Tuxtla Gutierrez and Tapachula.
