NLM CityHopper/Netherlines is the revised name of NLM following the acquisition of Netherlines in April 1988 by parent company KLM. The airline operates a network of international scheduled passenger services from Amsterdam to Antwerp, Belfast, Birmingham, Bremen, Bristol, Brussels, Cardiff, Diisseldorf, East Mid lands, Guernsey, Hannover, Jersey, Luton, Luxembourg, Southampton, Strasbourg and Stuttgart; Rotterdam to London (Heathrow) and Paris; Eindhoven to Hamburg, London Heathrow and Gatwick) and Paris; and from Maastricht to London (Gatwick). A new service to Malmo began in mid-1989. Domestic services are also provided, linking Amsterdam with Eindhoven and Maastricht. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of KLM. History. Noble Air is a new Turkish airline initially formed to fly inclusive-tour charters from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Ham burg and points in the UK to Turkey and Northern Cyprus. A scheduled service from Istanbul to London (Gatwick) began in November 1989. The airline is considering services to Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Helsinki and Vienna. Three further Boeing 727-200s may be leased for 1990. History: Noble Air was formed in January 1989 and began operations on 24 March. Fleet: two Boeing 727-200. Norfolk Island Airlines is a Brisbane-based scheduled service and charter operator which has added DHC Dash 8s to its fleet for operation on its routes from Sydney to Norfolk Island and to Lord Howe Island, previously flown by Beech 200s. Their introduction was delayed by Austra lian CAA restrictions which prohibited the Dash 8 from operating more than 60min flying time from a suitable alternative airfield. NorOntair, a division of the Ontario Northland Transpor tation Commission, has developed an extensive network of scheduled services linking 21 isolated communities in northern Ontario. A service to Winnipeg has been ap proved. All operations are contracted out, with aircraft and services provided under contract by Air Dale, Bearskin Airlines, Labrador Airways and RogAir.
