AEROSPACE APPOINTMENTS TEAM AER LINGUS VACANCIES IN ENGINEERING TEAM Aer Lingus is the new aircraft Maintenance and Engineering subsidiary of Aer Lingus, based at Dublin Airport. In TEAM we are combining the proven track record of our 1,600 staff with a major expansion programme. This programme involves a new wide body hangar, due for completion next January, accommodating a total of six aircraft. Such expansion means the creation of many new and exciting job opportunities. We intend to fill those positions with men and women who will be committed to the achievement of technical excellence, alhed to commercial success. The following vacancies exist in our Engineering division, which sets, monitors and develops technical standards for our client airlines. Our Engineers and Draughtsmen also provide a whole range of support services to our Maintenance and Overhaul activities. GRADUATE ENGINEERS (STRUCTURES) The Structures Section has responsibility for drafting and designing approved repair schemes for the metal and composite structures of Aer Lingus and customer aircraft. Its range of duties also involves evaluation of manufacturers'modifications, development of Aer Lingus modifications, investigation and assessment of defects, and liaison with manufacturers and overhaul agencies. Applicants should hold a Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Previous work experience would be an advantage, however, new graduates should also apply as appropriate training and development will be provided. — AIRCRAFT DRAUGHTSMAN The Drawing Office provides support to Check Maintenance and Line Maintenance. Its range of duties also involves detailing of engineering designs, repair schemes, interior layouts and configuration changes for the Aer Lingus fleet and for a wide range of customer aircraft. Applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship in Engineering or have a similar type background. A technical qualification would be an advantage. Experience of Draughting practices and ability to interpret manufacturing drawings are essential. A working knowledge of aircraft materials and processes is desirable, but is not essential, as training will be provided. - AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS - (EXPERIENCED) We also have vacancies in our Aircraft Overhaul Section which provides comprehensive capability on B747, B737 and B727, including heavy work packages containing major structural inspection/ repair. We are seeking candidates who have completed a recognised apprenticeship and who additionally have experience in aircraft structural repair work. These positions offer an attractive salary scale.
