The Division Database Operations, located in Brussels, is in charge of collecting, maintaining and distributing data on flight operations and on the air navigation infrastructure in Europe (excluding the Confederation of Independent States). The Integrated Initial Flight Plan Processing System (IFPS), which is scheduled to be operational on 1st March, 1994, will be a key element in European flight data handling. The following positions are to be filled (m/f) IFPS/DBE DATABASE OPERATIONS SUPERVISORS (Ref.BO/004/FI, 7 posts, location Brussels) The DBE/IFPS Database Operations supervisors will be responsible for the day-to-day running of all system elements. They will give guidance to the Data Bank EUROCONTROL supervisors and the IFPS supervisors in both Units. In case of contingencies they will take the decisions necessary to cope with the situation. IFPS SUPERVISORS (Ref. BO/005/FI, 6 posts, location Brussels) The IFPS Supervisors will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the operations in the Brussels based IFPS Unit. They will work under the authority of the IFPS/DBE Database Operations Supervisor and give guidance to the operator teams. IFPS SUPERVISORS (Ref. BO/006/FI, 3 posts, location Bretigny-sur-Orge) The IFPS Supervisors will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the operations in the Bretigny based IFPS Unit. They will give guidance to the operator teams and represent the unit manager during his absence. IFPS OPERATORS (Ref. CO/007/FI, 34 posts for Brussels, 38 posts for Bretigny-sur-Orge Flight Plans containing errors, which cannot be corrected by automatic processing, will be corrected by the IFPS operators using modern workstation equipment. All duties will be performed on shift, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. An attractive international salary, including social security and pension provisions, is offered.
