Business and Project Management at the leading edge of Military Aircraft Test & Evaluation Salary in the region of £25,000 to £30,000+ & benefits Boscombe Down, Wiltshire The Defence Test and Evaluation Organisation (DTEO) Boscombe Down is the UK's official Centre for the test and evaluation of all military aircraft, their armament and associated equipment. We now operate as a commercial trading agency, with a remit to continue as the prime provider of advice to the MOD whilst developing the potential of our expertise through the expansion of HOM-MOD business. The organisation is divided into discrete departments responsible for groups of similar aircraft types and employ the skills of specialist engineers, scientists, military aircrew and test pilots together with administration and financial support. To strengthen our hand in the running of this expanding business and in the continuing development of business strategy, new appointments have been created for dynamic professionals with the relevant expertise and flair. Business Managers These positions will take responsibility for the development and day-to-day management of the department's business. The role will encompass financial control and the provision of financial performance reports and forecasts, investment plans, and contribution to annual budgetary and business planning. We are looking for people who have a good knowledge of aircraft test and evaluation and who also have a proven track record in business management, excellent interpersonal skills and genuine commercial vision will be key qualities. Project Managers Project Managers will be responsible for the delivery of specific test and evaluation products to the MOD and commercial customers, working to agreed parameters of time, cost and quality. The role includes defining customer requirements, controlling and co-ordinating bids, programme management and the co-ordination of the final report. A sound knowledge of aircraft trials and the ability to manage complex trials programmes will be vital.
