GTC designers have taken the established features of the AGT ring design and extended the seal life by more than 50%, says the com pany. "The ACT ring will significantly improve the performance capability of equipment within demanding aerospace applications," it adds. It is claimed that the new ACT ring design has reduced dynamic and break-out friction by more than 10%. Hexcei Composites will show its Redux 140, water-based corrosion-inhibiting primer. According to the company, Redux 140 is the first chromate-free product of its kind. Hexcei claims that the product is carcinogen-free, does not require the use of heavy protective clothing and solvent extractors, and yet per forms as well as the current market leader. Redux 140 is compatible with a wide range of adhesives. The Alpha HGU-86/P has been developed to meet performance and safety requirements for the US Air Force's next-gen eration air-superiority fighter. The helmet is designed to provide comfort and protection for military air crews, and its lighter weight is claimed to enhance combat capability and reduce pilot fatigue. According to HISL, Alpha HGU-86/P will fit 96% of the USAF's male pilots and will remain firmly in position at speeds of up to 600kt (l.lOOkm/h).
