Group FLIGHT STANDARDS OFFICERS Aerodrome Standards £28,800 - £33,800 Ref: ASD We are seeking to recruit one or more FSO's within our Aerodrome Standards Department. Applications are invited from people who have either:- • A proven track record in civilian aerodrome technical airside operations with sound management experience at middle to senior level. Additional expertise as aircrew or an air traffic controller would be a distinct advantage. • Extensive experience as a pilot or navigator, preferably in heavy civilian public transport operations. Experience in civilian aerodrome airside operations and/or management would be a distinct advantage. In addition experience in aerodrome planning, project management, formal risk analysis techniques and/or auditing would be advantageous. Flight Crew Licensing £25,700 - £30,200 (currently under review) Ref: FCL As a Flight Standards Officer you will assist the Head of Section with the harmonisation of Flight Crew Licensing within the member states of the Joint Aviation Authorities. You will also provide licensing guidance within the Authority and to the UK aviation industry. You will have had extensive flying experience in civil air transport operations or have equivalent military experience. You will ideally hold an ATPL and have acquired management experience in military or civil operations. An appreciation of the requirements of the Air Navigation Order, CAP 53 and 54 together with JAR FCL would be advantageous. Ground Examiner £28,800 - £33,800 Ref: GE We require a Ground Examiner to assist the approval of pilots courses to UK and European requirements ranging from ab initio to type rating conversions and the preparation of questions in the technical group of subjects for examinations for professional pilots' licenses and ratings. Applicants should ideally have extensive flying experience and hold a UK ATPL (or equivalent military qualification). Experience in teaching student professional pilots at the ab initio stage is desirable.
