PCOM.M Gary Hartwig • KC AVIATION Gary Hartwig, formerly direc tor of service operations, has been promoted to general man ager for Appleton, Wisconsin- based maintainer KC Aviation. Greg Miller has been promoted to director of service operations at Appleton. He was previously Falcon programme supervisor. • BRITISH AIRWAYS British Airways' executive-manage ment team is to be changed, to pre pare for the retirement this year of chief operating officer Alistair Cumming. Alike Street, now director of operations will take on Cumming's responsibilities for co ordinating operations. Charles Gurassa, director of passenger busi ness, becomes director of passenger and cargo business. Kevin Hatton, managing director for world cargo, will report to Gurassa in future. John Patterson, director of strate gy, will lead the business-efficiency programme and take on responsibil ity for Speedwing, the airline's third- party consultancy. Colin Mat thews, who becomes engineering managing director, will report directly to chief executive Bob Ayling and join the executive team. Jeannie Bevan, director of purchas ing, will report to David Holmes, director of corporate resources. He replaces Jen- neke Entzinger-Bennink, who will continue to work for the Dutch national carrier part-time as senior advisor corporate development and deputy to the executive vice- president for corporate develop ment and corporate relations. Kuiperi, with KLM since 1989, is now marketing manager for south east Europe, based in Milan, Italy. • AOPA The US Aircraft Owners and Pi lots Association (AOPA), of Fred erick, Maryland, has named vice- president and legislative-action executive director Thomas Chapman senior vice-president for Government and technical affairs. Chapman succeeds Steven Brown, who was recently appoint ed president of the National Aero nautic Association. • BOMBARDIER Jean Girard has been named vice- president and general manager of the new Bombardier Completion Centre, formed from the business- jet completion division of Inno- tech Aviation of Dorval, Quebec, Canada, purchased by Bombardier in November. He was formerly mar keting manager for defence pro grammes at Fokker Aircraft of the Netherlands ly vice-president of aviation ser vices at the Canadair Defence Systems division. • GREENWICH AIR Michael Bucci is named senior vice-president, general counsel and secretary of turbine-engine over haul company Greenwich Air Services, of Miami, Florida. He has held positions with law firms. • BRITISH WORLD British World Airlines (called Silver City Airways when it was launched in 1946) has celebrated 50 years of operations with a presentation to employees who, like the airline, were born in that year.
