Civil Aviation Authority Safety Regulation Gatwick The Safety Regulation Group of the CAA is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety. ASSISTANT DESIGN LIAISON SURVEYOR £29,900 to £35,200 Transport Aeroplane Certification (Ref: ADL) This post is a support role in our aircraft projects team with the potential for future development to one of the several Design Liaison Surveyor roles within the Transport Aeroplane Section of Aircraft Projects Department. You will be primarily assisting the Design Liaison Surveyors who are responsible for the project management of Multi National Teams working on the Type Certification of new aeroplane types on behalf of all the member states of the Joint Aviation Authorities. You will co-ordinate and process technical information, liaise with manufacturers, foreign authorities and other departments within the CAA. You will have an aeronautical engineering degree/HND with at least 7 years aviation experience, preferably in airworthiness design and manufacturing. A sound working knowledge of international and UK airworthiness requirements relating to the design certification of aircraft is essential. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT £26,600 to £31,300 Transport Aeroplane Certification (Ref: TA) An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Assistant working in support of the Transport Aeroplane Section which is responsible for UK certification and continued airworthiness of transport aeroplanes, by undertaking design assessments and in-service monitoring of such types including their modifications. You will provide a high level of technical and administrative support, liaise with foreign authorities, owners, operators, designers and manufacturers and with other CAA departments. You will have technical qualification to a minimum of HNC or equivalent. Experience in the design and manufacture of aircraft is essential. For posts ADL and TA successful applicants will be self motivated, able to work effectively in a team environment and have proven organisational, communication and IT database skills.
