Group deal with general enquiries. The successful candidate will possess a technical education to HNC standard or equivalent, have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. He/she will have undertaken an aircraft engineering apprenticeship or be a licensed aircraft engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience associated with the manufacture and/or maintenance of civil aircraft types currently on the UK register. A broad understanding of international and UK requirements relating to the certification of aircraft and the issue of Cs of A, Permits to Fly and exemptions is required, as is a sound working knowledge of BCARs and JARs that relate to maintenance and certification. SURVEYORS - MAINTENANCE STANDARDS (Ref: MS) £29,900 to £35,200 We are looking for a number of Surveyors to carry out a wide range of aviation regulatory activities including the approval and subsequent monitoring of maintenance organisations, the surveillance of airline maintenance standards and the approval of maintenance schedules. Successful applicants will also monitor manufacturing organisations and examine candidates for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licences (AMEL). Applicants will possess a technical education to HNC or equivalent together with an aircraft apprenticeship or similar training and a minimum of 10 years experience related to the maintenance of Public Transport aircraft currently on the UK register. A background in Quality Assurance and maintenance management together with an AMEL would be advantageous. An excellent standard of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a persuasive manner at all levels is essential as are good written and organisational skills. As we have held a number of selection exercises for Surveyors in the past 12 months, previous applicants need not apply on this occasion.
