You must have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship, be qualified to at least HND level and possess an in-depth understanding of civil and military avionics. You will have experience in liaison with regulatory authorities, such as the CAA and MoD, with at least 10 years' experience of design supervision. Additionally, you must be able to estimate new design tasks and have a thorough technical understanding of design and approval issues, preferably having held a position as design signatory. Computer literacy is essential and the ability to lead and motivate a number of design teams is also important.
