QATAR AIRWAYS dbjJzaUl Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, is seeking to recruit the following Staff « nliin the Engineering Department to assist in supporting the Airline's continued expansion and development. • QR1 — Technical Services Manager • The successful candidate will have a proven track record within an airline technical services department. Hold CAA or ICAO type II Engineering Licences and/or a suitable degree. Experience of Airbus A300-60O Boeing 747/727 and new technology medium/long haul aircraft would be a distinct advantage. • QR2 — Senior Quality Engineers • Candidates must be able lo demonstrate at least five years current airline experience at senior supervisory/management level, hold CAA or ICAO type II Engineering Licences and be fully conversant with current JAA and FAA legislation. • QR3 — Supplies and Materials Manager • We are currently installing an integrated computer system within the Department. Applicants should be able lo demonstrate a good understanding of project management, have ai least ten years relevant experience of all aspects of inventory control, purchasing, contract negotiation and administration and have gixxl commercial skills. • QR4 — Line Management Manager • Responsible for mainbase line and subcontracted out Station operations. Candidates should hold CAA or ICAO type II Engineering Licences with current Airbus A300-600 experience. An ability to communicate at all levels w ithin a multicultural env ironment is a prerequisite. • QR5 — Schedules and Reliability Engineer • The successful candidate will have a high degree ol Computer literacy, be fully conversant with MSG 3 maintenance philosophy ami base a good working knowledge of M.P.D. and M.R.B. Documentation. • QR6 — Airframe Development Engineers • Current experience within an airline technical services department on either Boeing 747/727 or Airbus A300-600 aircraft and CAA or ICAO type II Licence in the Airframe category or a relevant degree are a prerequisite. Applicants should be computer literate and be able lo communicate at all levels. • QR7 — Power Plant Development Engineers • Current experience within an airline technical services department on P&W 4000. JT9. and CE6 engine types and CAA or ICAO type II Licence in the Engine category or a relevant degree are a prerequisite. Applicants should be computer literate and be able to communicate at all levels. • QR8 - A & C and E & I Engineers • Preferably with A300-600/P&W 4000 B747/SP and P & W JT9D/CF6 engines. Civil Aviation Authority - Gatwick FLIGHT CREW LICENSING REQUIREMENTS - FLIGHT STANDARDS OFFICER £29,600 - £34,900 Ref: FSO/F You will be part of a small team of specialists responsible for development, implementation and advice on UK licensing requirements, the introduction of harmonised European requirements over the next few years, assessment of requests for the acceptance of non-UK licence qualifications and consideration of non-standard licensing requests. In addition to extensive flying experience in civil air transport or military operations, you will possess good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of working to demanding deadlines in a team environment which will increasingly have an international nature. Applicants will ideally hold or have held an ATPL or have commensurate experience; experience in giving flying instruction is desirable. This post will suit an experienced professional pilot who now wishes to broaden and develop his or her potential whilst remaining within an aviation environment. AIR TRAFFIC STANDARDS - MANAGER, ATS SAFETY REQUIREMENTS £38,700 - £44,700 Ref: ATS/F In this key managerial role you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of goal based ATS Safety Requirements consistent with relevant European/International standards and directives, to support high levels of safety for UK Air Traffic Services. With 10 - 15 years' experience in aviation, preferably in an ATS sector and with formal professional qualifications in either Engineering or ATC, you will lead a mixed discipline team of engineering and ATC professionals. You should possess a detailed understanding of requirements for flight safety, including safety management and safety assessment. A knowledge of emerging ATS technologies is key and previous experience in a project management role would be an advantage. You will need to demonstrate abilities as an effective manager capable of providing leadership in an environment of change. A proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.
