GROUND OPERATIONS OPPORTUNITIES Duty Officer Operations (shift) Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years' experience of a busy flight watch department, and be conversant with ATC slot procedures. Duty Officer Crewing/Crew Scheduling Officers/Crew Control Officers You will have a minimum of 4 years' experience of a day to day crewing or crew scheduling environment. Fully conversant with CAP 371. Day to day and crew control entails working 12 hour shifts, whilst crew scheduling covers normal office hours. / Aircraft Planning Officers A minimum of 4 years airline scheduling experience is required. You will also IK- conversant with crew flight time limitations. SSIM procedures trained and an analytical approach to problem solving is required. Some part-time positions may be available in all areas. In addition candidates should lie able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, and have experience of an operational computer system. A good working knowledge of German would be an added advantage. Interviews will lie held on 28/29th January 1998. ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITIES We're looking for Airframe/F.ngine and Avionics Technicians to work on our fleet of Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft. With perfect colour vision, you'll need to have successfully completed a recognised aircraft maintenance apprenticeship and have had at least four years' experience of working on aircraft. The successful candidate will hold a without type rated licence in the appropriate categories being airframe, engine, electrical, avionics or radio/radar. At our Aircraft Engineering Centre, East Midlands Airport, we carry out structural checks and scheduled maintenance, including airframe repairs, typically on regional jet and turbo-prop aircraft. We are currently seeking to recruit the following people. LICENSED ENGINEERS Applicants will be qualified Mechanical or Avionic CAA Licensed Engineers with particular emphasis on BAe 146, Avro RJ, letsteam and ATP, Boeing 727 and 737, Lockheed Electra. AVIONICS DESIGN ENGINEER Reporting to the Chief Designer, this role carries responsibility for the co-ordination of all avionics design work, from initial drawing to final completion, ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements. Educated at least to HND (ideally Bsc/MSc) level, candidates should have at least 3 years' civil aerospace experience (BAe146, Boeing 737 preferred), plus a good working knowledge of CAA/BCAR/)AA/FAA requirements and regulations. Exposure to AutoCad LT; Unigraphics version 8 and MS Office 95 products would be a distinct advantage. CAD DESIGN ENGINEER (STRESS/STRUCTURES) A graduate, qualified at least to HND and preferably to Bsc/MSc level, the successful applicant will combine a positive attitude with solid CAD experience (ideally to AutoCad LT), Unigraphics and be familiar with MS95 products. In addition, you will guide and advise the design team on all aspects of stress and weight- related issues, and co-ordinate, check and monitor stress and weight calculations to ensure compliance with the appropriate airworthiness requirements. BOEING 737 MAINTENANCE PLANNER Working within our Planning & Technical Services Dept, this role involves the planning of maintenance packages to ensure the effective utilisation of manpower tooling and hangar resources. It calls for at least 3 years' recent, relevant 737 experience, together with good Boeing contacts and proven estimating skills. A positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure are essential, as is experience with project planning software (preferably Microsoft Project) and a sound working knowledge of CAA/JAA/FAA regulations. Candidates should also be conversant with MS Office 95 products.
